The working principle of the EGR conversion valve is to achieve the purposes of reducing nitrogen oxide emissions and optimizing engine performance by precisely controlling the amount of exhaust gas recirculation.
The EGR valve, whose full name is the exhaust gas recirculation valve, is a key component in the exhaust gas recirculation system. The exhaust gas recirculation system is to return a portion of the exhaust gas produced by diesel or gasoline engines to the cylinders. The recirculated exhaust gas, due to its inertness, will delay the combustion process and slow down the pressure formation process in the combustion chamber, thereby reducing the generation of nitrogen oxides. One side of the diaphragm inside the EGR valve is connected to the atmosphere, and the other side equipped with a spring is a vacuum chamber, whose vacuum degree is controlled by the EGR solenoid valve. Increasing the vacuum degree of the vacuum chamber will cause the diaphragm to arch up against the spring force, increase the opening degree of the valve, and thus increase the recirculation flow rate of the exhaust gas. Conversely, when the upper part loses the vacuum degree, the diaphragm arches downward under the action of the spring force, closing the valve and blocking the recirculation of the exhaust gas.
